INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING IN EDINBURGH

Life is a weird and wonderful thing. We are born without an instruction manual and experience all kinds of knocks and bruises along the way.

It’s no wonder that we all struggle at times.

Counselling in Edinburgh

We struggle to make sense of difficult situations, experiences, and memories. We struggle to come to terms with sudden changes in our lives, by endings and loss. Sometimes we struggle just to get out of bed in the morning!

It can feel like life is spiralling out of control. Like there is a cloud over everything you think and do. You may not feel ‘yourself’ — you may not feel anything at all. And you might not know why…

Space for counselling

Counselling offers a space — peaceful, understanding, safe, confidential, and non-judgemental — to explore some of these difficulties on your own terms.

In counselling, you are in control. You are the expert on your life.

I can help by offering an objective perspective, identifying patterns of thinking and behaviour, asking questions that help deeper exploration, and help create new meaning in your life.

Counselling can also be great for self-development: to develop your sense of self, gain clarity, and approach life with renewed enthusiasm.

My practice is based on the Person-Centred approach developed by Carl Rogers and is influenced by my own interests and experiences. Find out more about what to expect from counselling.

I am also a registered member of the BACP – the UK’s largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists.

I currently offer counselling in Edinburgh on an open-ended basis or for short-term work if preferred. Book your introductory session now.
