Something
feels off.
Let’s find out why.

I’m Chris Sharp — a counsellor and psychotherapist. I work online with people who want to understand what they’re carrying and find a way through.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

Many people who come to counselling aren’t in crisis — they’re just stuck, or tired, or carrying something they can’t quite name. That’s more than enough reason to start.

Worry & Overwhelm

The feeling of being uneasy, afraid or unable to cope; constant mental chatter and upsetting thoughts.

Relationships & Communication

Patterns that keep repeating, conversations you can’t seem to have, feeling unmet, unseen or unheard.

Low-mood & Disconnection

That harder-to-name sense of not quite being yourself, feeling heavy, flat or hollow, disconnected from the world.

Self-Criticism & Growth

Never feeling enough for yourself or others, blaming yourself, procrastinating and holding yourself back.

Difficult Experiences & Impact

Navigating the lasting weight of life’s harder moments, whether they’re recent or from childhood.

Grief, Loss & Change

Living with the pain of bereavement, dealing with significant losses, or adjusting major life changes.

Confidential. Judgement-free. No agenda but yours.

Chris Sharp, counsellor and psychotherapist

Informed by evidence. Shaped by you.

My approach is practical and down to earth. Person-centred at its core, which means you set the agenda and there’s no fixed programme to follow. I also draw on neuroscience and body-based approaches when they’re useful. No jargon, no homework — just a confidential space to think things through.

That academic grounding shapes how I work. I bring a genuine understanding of how the mind works — how we process stress and trauma, how early experience shapes the patterns we carry into adult life, and what the research tells us about what actually helps people change.
