Hi, I’m Chris Sharp – a fully qualified and BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist.
Being a counsellor is much more than a job to me, it’s a vocation. I trained to be a counsellor to refine and polish my natural listening and helping skills.
These experiences helped form skills, knowledge, and techniques that have proven effective at relieving suffering and helping my clients create new meaning in their lives.
But I continue to learn and to develop my skills. I do this through my client work, private study, and through continued professional development (CPD).
I also adapt to each client I meet. Your needs, your difficulties, and your way of communicating are all unique and you deserve a unique approach based around you.

I also subscribe to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions – a guide for ethical practice, including when and why to break confidentiality, that members of BACP vow to maintain. As such, any complaints about my practice can be referred to the BACP to independent review.
